DOTHAN, Ala. — Dr. Phyllis Edwards, the former superintendent of Dothan City Schools, has filed a lawsuit for over half a million dollars against the school board.
In her lawsuit, Edwards says certain school board members tried to sabotage her work as the superintendent.
She also says she was terminated within the required 120-day period and not allowed to perform her duties within her contract.
DCS board chairman Mike Schmitz told WDHN he cannot comment legal matters.
