A south Alabama elementary school principal is behind bars, charged in a weekend head-on crash that injured several people

ALABAMA – According to the court documents, her name is Debra Johnson Strickland and she is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

The 38-year-old woman is being held without bond at the Geneva County Jail.

She fled the scene on foot and was later taken into custody about one mile from the crash site.

All three people from the crash were transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
