Beloved Alabama barrel racer Colten Farley dead after assault on Anniston street

ALABAMA – An investigation is underway after an Alabama barrel racer died following an assault in Anniston more than a week ago.

Colten Farley, 23, died March 25, five days after police said he was punched while with friends on the city’s popular Noble Street. There has been outpouring of support on social media for Farley during his hospital stay and calls for justice following his death. He has been described as a barrel racer, trainer, Quarter Horse and Appaloosa enthusiast, breeder, and ambassador.
