DOTHAN, Ala.— Alabama has confirmed 5,038 deaths from COVID-19, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health.
Combined with probable deaths, this makes for a total of 6,030 COVID-19-related deaths in the Yellowhammer State.
Meanwhile, Houston County has the highest number of confirmed deaths in the southeastern district. The graphic below shows that the surge of deaths happened this week.
