DOTHAN, Ala.— Thursday morning, WDHN’s morning reporter Cody Giles met with Wiregrass Hope Group to discuss what they do for the community and what they have going on this weekend. Catch the full interview above!

What is Wiregrass Hope Group, what do you do for the community and how can people get involved?

One fun & easy way to get involved with us is coming up this Saturday from 9 to noon at Westgate Park. It’s Wiregrass Hope Group’s Family FitFest presented by SE Health.

Free & fun! Come work out and learn wellness tips with Wiregrass Hope Group! Register at wiregrasshope.com.

We’ve got some great workout stations – Orangetheory Fitness, Synergy, and ATA Dothan Taekwondo. The Westgate Park Fitness Court. Bike ride and a one-mile walk/run. A basic training course from U.S. Army Reserves. Plus wellness stations – financial health, spiritual health, nutrition, early childhood education, child abuse prevention, and Dothan Fire truck/fire safety. Free food from Pepi Foods & smoothie samples from Vibe Nutrition.

It’s free to register, but consider helping us raise money by getting sponsors (like a walkathon). Go to wiregrasshope.com for the details and to register this Saturday from 9 to noon at Westgate Park.

Thanks to Southeast Health and all our corporate sponsors for helping us put on this event.

What events do you have planned for the future, now the pandemic is coming to a close?

We had to cancel last year’s Family FitFest because of COVID, so we’re excited to offer this fun event to the community.
