DOTHAN, Ala. – A Dothan tax preparer is charged with stealing over $11,000 from one of her customers.
Police allege Amanda Grice had the victim’s $8,000 refund sent to her prepaid debit card.
A few months later a $2,700 stimulus payment also intended for the victim went to that same card.
Police say Grice worked from home as a part time tax preparer.
They are now investigating whether she duped other clients.
