According to the police officials, the 42-year-old man is accused of murder in the second degree for each man’s death. Authorities say he is also charged with three counts of being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon. The Medical Examiner determined that the first victim died from multiple chop wounds of the head, neck and body. The second victim died via ligature strangulation.

Officers responded to multiple 911 calls around 7:15 p.m. last week. When officers arrived, they discovered the two dead men in the lobby and hotel room in New Hampshire, Nathan Cashman and David Hanford.

The suspect, Theodore L. Luckey, of New Jersey, waived his arraignment which was previously scheduled for Monday afternoon at Hillsborough Superior Court. The suspect allegedly knew one of the men from a former stint in prison.

Allegedly, the suspect killed Cashman by inflicting multiple incise wounds to the victim’s body “with a machete-type knife,” while he recklessly caused Hanford’s death by suffocating him.

Authorities say the crime was allegedly committed “under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life”. This is a developing story and it will be updated as new information become available.
