DOTHAN, Ala.— Denton First United Methodist gave away 30 food boxes filled with food staples like meats, canned goods, produce, and so much more.
The food boxes were gone in just about an hour of their food pantry.
The food pantry manager is asking for the public’s help in putting more food boxes together.
“With COVID, like it is right now it’s difficult to find and receive donations so whatever donations can be given to us, it would help us do more than what we did today,” food pantry manager J’Lane Watson said.
It can be as simple as donating a canned good or some other non-perishable. Watson urged people to help the Denton Road United Methodist Church in feeding the disadvantaged.
