DALEVILLE, Ala. — Dale County will hold a fair at Culpepper Park in Daleville beginning Tuesday, March 30, and running through Saturday, April 3.

Organizers said without the National Peanut Festival in 2020, many folks in the Wiregrass are ride-deprived.

Dozens of rides will be brought from several locations in the southeast to Daleville.

Louisiana-based Mitchell Brothers Amusements hopes to attract a total of around 10,000 folks over the five-day period at Culpepper Park.

“We have a slapped, packed full week of promotions and special events, and we’re really looking forward to bringing a quality county fair to the area,” said Paul Marini with Family Fun Fest Inc.

A portion of the gate is earmarked for several non-profit organizations, like the Boys and Girls Club of Daleville, that operate in Dale County.

“We’ll have a portion of the gate going to the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Daleville, the Daleville High School Alumni Club, and the Dale High School Band as well as the carnival will be giving away a $500 scholarship to a deserving student from the Dale County area.”

The weekday festivities will begin at 5 p.m., but Saturday, the fair will open at 1 p.m.

Admission into the Dale County fair is $6 while children five and under get in for free. There will also be a huge Easter egg at the site on Saturday.
