ALABAMA – According to the court documents, his name is Kobe Crawford and he turned himself into police custody on Jan. 11 of this year after revealing to his more than 1.6 million Instagram followers that he had 30 days to do so.

“I got 30 days to turn myself in,” Crawford said in the now deleted IG post.

“I don’t know how long ima be gone. I just want to appreciate my family, fans and friends for rocking with me.”

In September of 2019, Crawford was charged with reckless endangerment, possession/receiving a controlled substance, discharging a gun into an occupied or unoccupied building or vehicle and a probation violation.

For those charges, Crawford turned himself in on Sept. 26, 2019.

The 2019 charges stem from an altercation in the area of Middle Ring Road involving Crawford’s sister, according to the Mobile Police Department.

While his sister was having an altercation with two other people, Crawford allegedly arrived to the scene and started firing gunshots into the home of the two people. Until he turned himself in on Sept. 26, he had been on the run and wanted by police.

On July 23, Crawford made his return to social media with the caption, “When You Important It’s Hard To Hide. Im Back Doe!”

According to the jail records, Crawford was released from custody on July 21 just before 6:30 p.m.

Crawford was one of a handful of Mobile-area rappers featured in a Rolling Stone report back in Sept. 2020.
