HEADLAND, Ala. — Main Street Alabama, an organization that mainly focuses on bringing in jobs and economic growth, will be in Headland for three days this week.
“They’re coming to do our branding, and what that means they come in and they interview all of our citizens as they can, we have a group meeting and then we’re gonna have a public meeting and they come in and ask questions about how we look to the public and our advertising,” said Stormy Hicks, the executive director of Headland Main Street.
The meeting will take place at the Headland United Methodist church for residents to share their ideas regarding making the city more attractive. In June of last year, Headland was recognized as a Main Street designated city.
According to Headland Main Street director Stormy Hicks, the city has grown over the years and the community has played a huge part in that success.
“We didn’t have any business closed because of COVID last year our people shopped small and realized what it takes to support a community and they did and so I trust that a lot of people will come out to this meeting because they know the importance of us hearing from them that gives them the opportunity,” She said.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
