DOTHAN, Ala. – United Way Wednesday is just a week away and the wiregrass united way needs your help.
On January 13th, volunteers across the six counties will contact donors that the wiregrass united way is waiting to hear from.
Every pledge or donation that comes in on United Way Wednesday will be matched up to a total of fifty thousand dollars. The goal of the day, to confirm all of Wiregrass United Way’s loyal donors get their pledge in for 2021.
The funds raised will help partnering agencies throughout 2021.
“So it becomes a bad situation where the needs are greater than they’ve ever been and the resources are looking like they will be less than they’ve been in recent years. So it’s a very serious situation because we need to raise the money for these agencies so they can help people,” Wiregrass United Way CEO, Walter Hill said.
