Escambia County – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, his name is William Jarrell and he was charged with DUI following a crash in Escambia County Friday that injured five people.
Troopers said the 29-year-old man from Alabama failed to yield to oncoming traffic on Highway 29 and resulted in a collision between his vehicle and a Volkswagen.
The front bumper of the Volkswagen collided with the left side of Jarrell’s vehicle.
Three children and two adults were inside the Volkswagen.
All suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The 29-year-old man was arrested on Friday and released on $1,000 bond Saturday.
