DOTHAN, Ala. – Did you know that one pint of blood can save three lives? Due to the COVID pandemic, blood supply across the country is very low. That’s why the State Farm Good Neighbor Gals in the Dothan area are hosting a Blood Drive.
Today, State Farm Agents Melissa Elmore, Pam Martin, Roni Holley, Krissie Siniard and Jessica Barnes are partnering with Lifesouth Community Blood Center and encouraging community members to make an appointment and donate.
“We know that summer is traditionally a difficult time to collect enough blood to meet supply needs, and this year is especially challenging,” says State Farm Agent Melissa Elmore on behalf of the group. “This blood drive allowed us to get together to do something that would positively impact the community and potentially save a life.”
All social distancing and safety guidelines will be followed. Donors will be tested for COVID 19 antibodies and receive a free cholesterol screening. The first 45 donors will receive a $20 gift card and a t-shirt.
