ALABAMA— A north Alabama man is facing drug trafficking charges after thousands of dollars worth of narcotics were seized by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
James Tristan Lee Sanders, 24, of Florence, was arrested Friday on drug trafficking warrants, WAFF reported.
Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency served a search warrant at an apartment in Florence, the television station reported.
During their search, agents found 3 grams of methamphetamine, 2 pounds of marijuana, multiple controlled prescription drugs, multiple guns, and more than $19,000 in cash, WHNT reported. ALEA officials also said that agents learned that two packages had been mailed to a home in Killen, the television station reported.
Upon locating the packages, agents found 2.25 pounds of heroin that had a street value of approximately $50,000, according to WAFF. Agents also found approximately 10,000 Xanax pills, the television station reported. The pills have a street value of more than $30,000 and the marijuana is worth $3,000, according to WHNT.
