DOTHAN, Ala.— The city of Dothan now has two charging stations for electric cars in the downtown parking lot.
Both were tested today to make sure they work, and a ceremonial ribbon cutting will be held in the next few weeks.
These stations did not cost the city any money, but Dothan will not be making any profit off of them.
“They’re asking where can I charge? So now we have a place,” Dothan Utilities Assistant Director Chris Phillips said. “And these are located here in downtown Dothan to try to pull these people to downtown so they can see our beautiful city.”
WDHN will keep you updated for when these stations will be operational.
