DOTHAN, Ala. – Jackson County investigators have made an arrest in a drug trafficking investigation.

Ja’drain Gilbert, the man investigators believe is spearheading a large drug trafficking operation, is still at large.

Law enforcement says their work began back in early December.

An arrest and search warrant was issued on gilbert but he was not at the residence when they arrived.

As the case continued, investigators focused on the home of Jarrion A’vion Dudley.

During a search of his home, he was arrested on numerous drug charges.

He was also in violation of the terms of his current probation.

Large quantities of drugs, firearms, and $26,000 in cash were found inside Dudley’s home.

Investigators are hoping to nail gilbert next.

Sheriff Louis Roberts sent a strong message to Jackson County residents.

“The men and women of the Jackson County sheriff’s office along with myself will work tirelessly to eradicate the drugs from our community,” says Roberts.
