DOTHAN, Ala. — Houston County schools were able to receive their COVID-19 vaccines today with the help of the Southeast Health drive thru vaccination clinic.

Just like with Dothan City Schools, Houston County educators and staff were able to sign up and receive their first dose of the pfizer vaccine.

Even Houston County Schools Superintendent Brandy White received his today. Here’s what he had to say about his staff taking this step.

“It’s exciting,” White said. “I hope this is going to help us keep the doors open and keep our staff in place so that we can keep our students in school. And I just appreciate Taylor Williams and Southeast Health organizing this and allowing our teachers to have this day to do it.”

White said although some teachers had concerns, many signed up to get their shot.
