DOTHAN, Ala. – While attending a meeting with members of the Alabama Sheriff’s Association on March 17, one topic of discussion brought up was concerning the topic of Pistol Permits and the renewals.
The Houston County Sheriff’s Office will extend a grace period of renewing an expired pistol permit effective March 17th until April 20th in Houston County.
If you expect to travel outside Houston County during this grace period you may come in and renew your pistol permit before travel.
