DOTHAN, Ala. — Houston and Geneva County Sheriff Investigators are working out the details from a shooting incident that occurred this morning.
The unnamed victim was dropped off at the Flower’s Hospital emergency room. He reportedly sustained a serious gunshot, which may leave the individual paralyzed.
A short time later the vehicle was found near the Geneva/Houston County line on State Highway 103 near Slocomb.
But the exact set of circumstances of what happened remains a mystery.
Last night, the victim had been at an adult entertainment club in Wicksburg, however, it’s unclear what happened thereafter.
“It takes a lot of manhours,” Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms said. “And like I say Houston County and us will have a lot of manhours in it before its over, but a lot of
people have to be talked to, witnesses have to be talked to and a lot of ground to cover.”
At this time Sheriff Helms and Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza are trying to determine where the shooting took place, that will determine which sheriff’s office will be the lead investigative agency.
