DOTHAN, Ala. — A Geneva County woman is now facing a murder charge for allegedly killing another woman Monday night, according to the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office.
At around 7:40 p.m., emergency personnel were sent to Craven Street in Bellwood in response to a call about an unresponsive woman in the road. Once they found the woman, they discovered that the woman had no life signs after being shot twice in the chest, prompting authorities to section the area off as a crime scene.
They soon identified the victim as Danah Hudson Johnson, 40, of Bellwood. According to a press release, investigators knew from previous calls that she was attacked before in a separate incident and had ongoing issues with another Bellwood woman, 39-year-old Andrea Charlene Wambles.
Investigators took Wambles into custody around 9 p.m. and shortly after, found her vehicle and a pistol in the woods nearby.
She is now being held in the Geneva County Jail for murder. The investigation is still ongoing.
