DOTHAN, Ala. — The Farley Nuclear Plant has held the Farley Christmas Project since 1985 to ensure in-need children around the Wiregrass have a meal and presents for Christmas.

With the help of IBEW, the gifts are distributed to the families.

The committee works with the House of Ruth, the Child Advocacy Center, the Alfred Saliba Family Services Center, and other Wiregrass organizations.

“We’re over 50, 50 to 60 families this year,” training analyst Clay Campbell said. “We get families from House of Ruth, from various places throughout the Wiregrass area to help these children in need during this time of year.”

The project gets every item a child has on their list.

It’s actually a year-long project.
