DOTHAN, Ala. – A Dothan man has been charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property in Holmes County.
A release states that investigators from the Holmes County and Bay County sheriff’s offices found a stolen utility trailer at a home in Bay County. The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office said the trailer was stolen on Jan. 27 from Hamilton’s Store.
After interviewing the person who had the stolen trailer, investigators learned that the individual purchased it from Daniel Stanley Garnett, 30, of Dothan. Holmes County investigators worked with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office to find Garnett as well as the vehicle used in the crime.
