DOTHAN, Ala. — The city of Dothan announced Monday that a former city commissioner for District 4 has died.
John Craig worked with the city from 2007-2011, having worked in local politics later in life.
“John was known for his candor as well as for his commitment to studying local
issues before forming an opinion,” a city release states. “John was instrumental in helping to formulate the Neighborhood Watch program as well as various initiatives to help local
schools and the Dothan Police Department.”
Craig also served in the United States Air Force. The city is asking for the public to keep his wife Betty in mind while she mourns.
