A new policy adopted at today’s Houston County Commission meeting could mean huge changes for residents

ALABAMA – Officials say that the plan would require the homeowner, or contractor, with a driveway in the county to keep up its maintenance for 2 years.

After that time, the county will take over responsibility for any damage.

The Commission plans to continue to look over more policies that benefit residents.

They’re looking at all areas to make sure taxpayer dollars are spent efficiently.

This is a developing story and it will be updated when new information is available.
