Dothan, AL – According to the police officials, the car chase began right after 11 p.m. Thursday.
This unfortunate incident occurred in the area of West Selma Street.
A vehicle failed to pull over for a traffic stop, leading the police on a pursuit.
The suspect wrecked his vehicle on Lucy Grade Road.
His name is Jamere Dowdy and he was arrested.
Investigators found 5 ½ pounds of marijuana, cash and a gun.
The 33-year-old suspect is being held in the Houston County Jail.
