Multiple shots fired from inside Dothan home, Special Response Team on scene Sunday night

DOTHAN, Ala. — At approximately 8:20 p.m. Sunday night, Dothan Police reported to multiple gunshots being fired at the 2400 block of Kristie Road, according to Dothan Police Criminal Investigation Commander, Lt. Scott Owens.

Owens said when patrol units arrived on scene, they heard additional gunshots being fired from the home which turned the investigation underway with Dothan Police SRT to respond.

According to police, the home owners would not cooperate and refused the permission for the officers to search.

Dothan Police Criminal Investigators obtained a search warrant around midnight and discovered there was criminal activity in the home.

Lt. Owens said, Lanie Mathis, 32, and Nicholas Craig, 31, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, two counts of chemical endangerment of a child and unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance in the 2nd degree.

Dothan Police Criminal Investigation are still conducting a detailed investigation.
