DOTHAN, Ala.— Our NBC affiliate station in Dothan, WTVY, is reporting a Fort Rucker helicopter has crashed at Hooper Airfield.
They’re reporting an Apache aircraft sustained significant damage. A person at the scene said the helicopter was upside down. A medical helicopter took off from the scene.
WTVY reports the Fort Rucker Public Affairs Director said the crash involved a training helicopter carrying two people. Their conditions are not known.
