DOTHAN, Ala. — It was a big day at Wallace Community College as the school began giving vaccines to its faculty and staff.
With over 100 vaccines from the Dale Medical Center, school officials say they’re happy to provide the vaccines in order to protect their employees.
Rayanne Daniels, Wallace Community College Registered Nurse, who organized this event in just two days, even allowed clinical students to administer the shots.
“Here at Wallace we just really stress interacting with the community and that we’re people just trying to get through it together,” Daniels said. “And so our students have a skillset our public can use, so when we’re allowed to that’s what we need to do.”
Daniels believes this event not only helps the community but also prepares clinical nursing students for the medical field.
