DOTHAN, Ala. — The Wiregrass Food Bank needs your help.
On Friday, Feb. 5, the group will hold its Souper Bowl Canned Soup Drive for older citizens.
Donations will enable them to give an extra serving of soup during the brown bag program distribution program from February to April.
With 1,620 seniors in this program, the goal is to achieve five canned goods per senior.
“We’re just trying to give them a little boost during these cold winter months because soup is a warming, nutritious easy-to-prepare meal for one, and we’d like for them to have a little extra to warm those bones on those cold winter nights,” Julie Gonzalez said. “We’d appreciate your help.”
