DOTHAN, Ala. — It is a classic match up featuring rival private schools.

Houston Academy making the short three mile road trip over to Providence Christian in a 3A area matchup.

Providence came out hot taking the first quarter with a big offensive performance from Abe Chancellor who had an emphatic two handed slam in the first frame.

Then in the second quarter, Houston Academy, led by the Mitchell brothers stormed back to take a 28-25. That is how the score looked heading into half time.

In the second half, the game remained a back and forth contest, where regulation time was not enough.

In overtime, it would be the home team gaining control of the game. Providence beats Houston Academy 62 to 55!
