DOTHAN, Ala. — Alabama fans are gearing up for the game they’ve been eyeing since the beginning of the unusual season – the national championship game. Whether you’re heading to Miami or staying home, it’s a given you’ll be clothed in crimson.

“Anytime you get the opportunity to participate in the national championship game or the BCS playoffs it’s a big deal. They’re having a breakout year all of a sudden this looks like one of coach Saban’s best teams and it’s also led to okay that’s trending into retail sales — Alabama merchandise.

ScreenTech is known for printing collegiate apparel such as auburn, Alabama, and Troy. But with the difficult year, some of the schools have struggled to sell their merchandise. But for Alabama, Collins says the sales have been alive and well for the sec champs.

”The things we have seen is the fact they had strong sales, they are 12-0 right now playing for national championship people are very excited,” Collins said.

Eagle Eye Owner Mark Anderson says they haven’t sold much Bama gear leading into the game, but then if they win the demand for a shirt will be high.

“I think in 2017 Alabama had won and maybe got used to it and it wasn’t that much demand for championship stuff but this year since it’s been about 3 years since they won it just seems like we’re getting more phone calls and more inquiries about it. Are you getting more merchandise and when will it be in,” Mark Anderson said.
