DOTHAN, Ala. — With the turn of the new year, area basketball games begin to rev up. On the second Friday of the year, two of the Wiregrass’s oldest rivals met once again.

Dothan and Enterprise met at the Wolves Gym to face off in a trio of basketball games.

In the girls’ game, Dothan took a 23-14 into the break. In the second half, led by senior Alexis Hudgers, the Wolves kept their foot on the gas. Increasing the lead up to twenty where it hovered for majority of the second half.

In the end, Dothan beats Enterprise 47-35 on the girls side.

Moving over to the boys, the beginning of the game was all about defense.

In fact, Enterprise held Dothan scoreless for the four and a half minutes of the game and started on an 8-0 run.

That defense set the tone for the rest of the game, with the Wildcats getting big performances from Josh McCray, Elijah Terry, and Jalen Cunningham.

Enterprise beats Dothan 54 to 37 in the boys game.
