DOTHAN, Ala. — This year has been difficult for many due to COVID-19, prompting concerns over Thanksgiving.

Ridgecrest Pastor Ray Jones and his wife had the virus back in September. He said he and his wife are fortunate to get through it and recover

“We really came through it well, especially considering what others have battled,” Ridgecrest Baptist Church Senior Pastor Ray Jones said. “Just only one really tough day for me on the backside of it really toward the end of it, but we really believe the Lord was good to us in that regard.”

In a time of uncertainty and many worried about COVID-19 and Thanksgiving, he said there are still reasons to be thankful.

“Each of us can look at our own circumstances and say in the midst of this uncertainty, here’s something I can be grateful for, here’s something I can be thankful for,” Jones said.

Jones said that he’s thankful for getting through COVID-19 and more.

“I can still say I am grateful to have a savior Jesus Christ who died for my sins and for the sins of the whole world,” Jones said. “So I can thank him and be grateful for that. I can be grateful for my family.”
